Whole chassis of 2016 Ford Atlas will be made from lightweight aluminum that will reduce weigh of the car. New 2016 Ford Atlas will be equipped with brand new engines made by Ford. If it is true, there will be four types of engine available. First and the basic engine will be 3.5-liter V6 engine that can create 383 horse power and torque of 255 lb/ft. Second choice will be more advanced, it is 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 that have a power of 325 “horses“ and a torque of 375 lb/ft. Third choice will be another 3.5-liter but with smaller power, it can create 365 hp and a torque of 420 lb/ft. Atlas Concorde Forge Steel Last choice of engine that will be available with new Atlas is the biggest one, it is 5.0-liter V8 that can create 360 horse power and a torque of 380 lb/ft. All of these engines will be equipped with 6-speed automatic transmission. Second choice, EcoBoost one, will go from 0-60 mph in 8.0 seconds.

2016 Ford Atlas Release date and Price

According to some rumors that are going, we can hope to see Ford Atlas at the end of this year but it is more likely to see him in the first half of the 2016. Ford didn`t gives us official price for this model but we expect that the price for the basic model of new 2016 Ford Atlas will be around $22 000 and for some specified models that will be around $50 000.
